Acupuncture & Alternative Therapy

Alternative therapy methods such as acupuncture, cupping and gua sha can provide more integrated treatments for individuals with various health conditions.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a versatile practice that can be used for various issues, including musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory and sports-related conditions. Not only does it aid pain relief, inflammation control, and improved circulation, but it also stimulates your brain and spinal cord to produce natural pain-relieving chemicals. While Traditional Chinese Medicine uses acupuncture based on energy pathways, we specialize in Western medical acupuncture, which is adapted by using anatomy, physiology, pathology, and evidence-based medicine principles.

Cupping

Specially designed cups are attached to the skin via suction to help decompress soft tissue. This targets any conditions you may have that are caused by muscle tension (e.g. back pain, neck pain, and neck-based headaches).

Gua Sha

The skin around the affected area is oiled and scraped to break down scar tissue underneath, which can often be the root cause for movement restrictions and muscle pain.
