As treatment integration we provide alternative means of treatment such as acupuncture, cupping and gua sha.
Acupuncture works in diverse fields such as musculoskeletal, sports, neurology, respiratory conditions. It is used for pain relief, inflammation control and to promote circulation. There are also clinical evidence that Acupuncture can reduce pain by stimulating the brain and spinal cord to produce natural pain-relieving chemicals. While in Traditional Chinese Medicine uses acupuncture to stimulate different acupoints along meridians, Western medical acupuncture is an adaptation using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, and the principles of evidence based medicine.
Cupping attach to the skin surface by a negative pressure to achieve soft tissue decompression. It is useful in various conditions caused by muscle tension, e.g. back pain, neck pain and cervical-genic headache.
In Gua Sha, or scraping, the skin around the affected area is lubricated and scraped to create small bruises. This is to break down scar tissue underneath which cause movement restrictions and pain.
